Meet the owner
Mumtaz has owned New Tech Auto Repair for more than 25 years — and he still works the floor himself. Most folks just call him Sonny. When you call or come in, you're talking to the owner: he'll test-drive your car, find what's actually wrong, and tell you straight if a repair can wait.
That's the rule he's run the shop by from day one — fix only what's needed, charge a fair price, and earn the next visit. It's why some of his customers have been coming back for decades, one of them for 35 years.

Gasoline vehicles from 1996 and newer also need an emissions test at the same visit — Nassau County is in the NYMA emissions area. Bring the car by any time; most inspections are done the same day.

PremiumBook a day and time online and we'll reserve a lift for you - your car goes in at your scheduled time, no waiting in line. VIP is a premium service, so it costs more than regular walk-in service.
How it works: 1) Request a day & time below. 2) We text you to confirm - your spot is reserved once confirmed, and we confirm your VIP price then. 3) Please arrive on time - you have a 15-minute window: if you don't arrive within 15 minutes of your appointment time, your reserved spot will be released and the booking marked as a no-show.
VIP bookings are every 15 minutes from when we open, with the last booking at 4:00 PM (2:00 PM on Sundays - we close at 3). We'll confirm your exact time by text.
